Cultivating Faith: The Parable of the Sower Reimagined

Parable of the Sower: Hearts vary in receptivity to God’s word. Some unyielding, some shallow, some choked by worldly cares. Yet, some embrace and bear fruit abundantly. Let us cultivate fertile hearts to receive and flourish in His truth.

Wayside hearts, hard and unyielding,
Seeds sown but no root takes hold,
Birds of doubt, swiftly stealing,
The word of God, before it's told.
Stony ground, shallow and fleeting,
Seeds sprout but wither fast,
No depth for roots, no lasting meeting,
Faith's flame extinguished, can't last.
Thorny soil, choked and encumbered,
Seeds struggle 'midst worldly thorns,
Cares and riches, dreams outnumbered,
Choking out God's word, forlorn.
Good ground, fertile and willing,
Seeds sown, taking root and grow,
Fruits abound, hearts fulfilling,
God's word cherished, His love aglow.
